With great Powers comes great art

For those of a certain age, or for collectors of vintage sf paperbacks, the work of Richard Powers is an unmistakable beacon to the sf publishing world of the 1950s and 1960s.  The Society of Illustrators, a professional commercial artists society based in New York City, has just elected Mr. Powers to its Hall of Fame, as recognition of his “distinguished achievement in the art of illustration.”

And his fine art is just as collectible.  The 2015 World Fantasy Convention, held in Saratoga Springs, NY, organized a special exhibit of 90 of his paintings and collages.
